Microsoft Copilot Studio & Copilot Agents Training
Build, deploy, and govern custom Copilot Agents for your Australian organisation. UHS Logic delivers Microsoft Certified training in Microsoft Copilot Studio — the low-code platform for designing AI-powered copilots, autonomous agents, and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensions. Our courses take makers, IT professionals, and developers from first agent to production in days, not months.
What is Microsoft Copilot Studio?
Microsoft Copilot Studio is the Microsoft platform for building two related things: custom copilots (conversational AI experiences your users interact with through chat) and agents (AI assistants that can act autonomously, monitor data, and complete multi-step tasks on their own). It is the successor and expansion of Power Virtual Agents and is now the central hub for Microsoft’s agentic AI strategy.
With Copilot Studio you can ground answers in your SharePoint, Dataverse, public websites, OneDrive, and external data sources via connectors and Microsoft Graph; author topics with generative AI or classic dialogue trees; trigger Power Automate flows as agent actions; publish to Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, your own website, or any channel; and govern the whole estate with Power Platform admin tools, DLP, and Microsoft Purview.
What are Microsoft 365 Copilot Agents?
Copilot Agents are the agentic capability inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. There are three types Australian organisations need to understand. Retrieval agents answer questions grounded in a defined set of data, like a SharePoint site or a manual. Task agents complete a specific job — drafting an email, generating a report, scheduling a meeting. Autonomous agents are triggered by events (a new file, a new email, a schedule) and execute multi-step processes on their own, escalating to a human only when needed. All three are built in Copilot Studio (or, for simple retrieval agents, the Agent Builder inside Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat).
Our Copilot Studio and Agents Training Courses
Copilot Studio Foundations (1 day)
For business users and citizen developers. Learn the Copilot Studio interface, build your first agent grounded in a SharePoint site, author topics with generative answers, test and publish to Microsoft Teams, and understand the basic governance model. By the end of the day you will have a working knowledge agent for your team.
Copilot Studio for Makers (3 days)
Our flagship course for Power Platform makers and IT professionals. Covers topic authoring with adaptive cards, slot filling, entity extraction, generative answers configuration, knowledge sources (SharePoint, Dataverse, public websites, custom connectors), Power Automate actions, plugin authoring, and authentication patterns including Entra ID and OAuth. Hands-on labs build a customer-service agent, an HR onboarding agent, and an IT helpdesk triage agent.
Building Autonomous Agents (2 days)
For experienced makers. Design and deploy event-driven autonomous agents that monitor inboxes, SharePoint libraries, Dataverse tables, and external systems, then take action and report back. Covers trigger configuration, multi-step orchestration, human-in-the-loop patterns, error handling, telemetry, and the difference between deterministic and AI-driven decision points.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Builder (half day)
Fast-track training for end users with the Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Learn to build simple retrieval agents inside Copilot Chat using the no-code Agent Builder, ground them in a SharePoint site, share them with your team, and understand the limits of what end-user agents can and cannot do.
Copilot Agents for Developers (3 days)
For professional developers extending the Copilot platform. Covers Microsoft 365 Agents SDK, Teams Toolkit, declarative agents authored in TypeScript and YAML, custom plugins with API plugins and Microsoft Graph connectors, evaluation and observability with Azure AI Foundry, and CI/CD for agent solutions including ALM with Power Platform Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
Copilot Agent Governance and Security (1 day)
For Power Platform admins, security teams, and compliance officers. Covers environment strategy, DLP policies, agent inventory and monitoring, sensitivity labels, Purview data security for agents, prompt and response logging, and the Australian regulatory considerations including Privacy Act, Essential Eight alignment, and the AI Ethics Principles.
Microsoft Certifications We Map To
Our Copilot Studio and Agents training prepares attendees for several Microsoft role-based certifications: MS-4015 Build Copilots with Microsoft Copilot Studio, PL-200 Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant, PL-400 Microsoft Power Platform Developer, and PL-600 Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect. Every course aligns to current Microsoft Learn modules and is updated whenever Microsoft releases new agent features (typically monthly).
Who Should Take Copilot Agents Training
Microsoft Copilot Studio training is essential for Power Platform makers building business solutions, IT professionals automating internal workflows, customer service teams creating self-service support, HR teams building onboarding and policy assistants, sales operations teams automating CRM tasks, and security analysts building investigation copilots. Developers building enterprise-grade agents with code should take our developer-focused course.

Copilot Studio & Agents Training FAQs
What’s the difference between Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Copilot is the AI assistant embedded in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and the rest of the Microsoft 365 apps — you consume it. Copilot Studio is the platform you use to build and customise copilots and agents, including agents that extend Microsoft 365 Copilot itself. Most organisations need both: licenses for end users to consume Copilot, and Copilot Studio for makers to build the custom agents specific to their business.
Do I need to be a developer to build Copilot Agents?
No. Copilot Studio is a low-code platform — most agents are built by business analysts and citizen developers without writing code. Professional developers add value when building complex declarative agents, custom plugins, or integrating with bespoke systems via the Microsoft 365 Agents SDK.
How is Copilot Studio licensed?
Copilot Studio is licensed per tenant with capacity packs (messages and AI Builder credits) plus optional per-user licenses for makers. Microsoft 365 Copilot license holders get a baseline of Copilot Studio access for building simple agents in the Agent Builder. We can advise on the right licensing model in our Adoption workshop.
Can Copilot Agents access our private data securely?
Yes. Agents inherit the data security model of Microsoft 365 — including SharePoint permissions, sensitivity labels, and DLP. Properly configured agents only return data the requesting user is already entitled to see. Our governance and security course covers the full configuration in detail.
How long does it take to build a production agent?
A simple knowledge retrieval agent grounded in SharePoint can be built and published in under a day. A task agent with Power Automate actions typically takes two to four days of development. A robust autonomous agent with monitoring, logging, and error handling usually takes two to four weeks. Our training accelerates all of these timelines significantly.
